Authorities have urged residents in high-risk areas—particularly Nan, Phayao, and Chiang Rai provinces—to prepare for possible evacuations as the storm intensifies. Coastal regions, including Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, and Phang-nga, are also on alert for flash floods and river overflows due to prolonged downpours.
In Bangkok and its vicinity, thunderstorms are expected to cover 70% of the capital, with localized heavy rainfall likely to disrupt travel and drainage systems. The department has advised caution in low-lying urban areas prone to sudden inundation.

Mariners have been warned to avoid the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea due to strong winds and rough waves, with small vessels urged to remain ashore until conditions improve.
The storm, currently tracking toward Vietnam’s Tonkin Bay, is projected to weaken as it crosses into Laos later this week.
