British Tourist Fights for Life After Horrific Waterfall Plunge in Koh Samui
Koh Samui, April 12 – A dream vacation turned into a nightmare for a young British couple when 21-year-old soldier L. Gibson plummeted 9 meters (30 feet) from Na Muang 2 Waterfall, sustaining life-threatening injuries that have now racked up medical bills exceeding £100,000 (4.3 million baht).

Gibson’s 20-year-old girlfriend, L. Baldwin, described the heart-stopping moment:
“One second he was smiling for the camera—the next he vanished over the edge. When I found him, the rocks were slick with blood… he wasn’t breathing properly.”
Emergency teams performed CPR at the scene before airlifting him to Samui International Hospital, where he remains in intensive care.

“They won’t discharge him until we pay,” Baldwin revealed, her voice breaking. “Every surgery delay risks permanent damage.”
This marks the 3rd major tourist accident here since 2024. Local officials promise “reviewed safety measures”—but only after monsoon season.
