Authorities Dismantle Illegal Industrial Operations in Chonburi Free Zone

Industry Minister Akanat Promphan said the ministry was alerted by the Environmental Crime Division regarding a court-approved search warrant for Metal Central Co., Ltd. in Nhongheang Sub-district of Phanat Nikhom District in Chonburi Province. The company was suspected of multiple legal violations.

Samut Songkhram shuts down 2 illegal factories

The ministry’s special task force and related officials discovered illegal operations including unauthorized manufacturing, machinery expansion, hazardous material possession, untreated wastewater discharge, and employment of illegal migrant labor. The ministry’s rapid response team led the inspection with related agencies.

Beta Package Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd., operating inside one of the warehouses, had a valid factory permit but failed to notify authorities before commencing operations and exceeded approved machinery limits. The equipment was seized.

Illegal Meatball Factories Raided in Pathum Thani

CAT Metal International Co., Ltd. rented other warehouse spaces and operated without a factory license. The company employed illegal migrant workers to sort contaminated scrap materials. Over 1,600 tons of waste were seized. The processed aluminum was intended for export to China, while the final destination for electronic parts was unclear. The remaining waste was stored in bags behind the factory.
