BMA Launches Campaign to Combat Rising Dengue Cases in Bangkok

BANGKOK (NNT) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Department of Disease Control (DDC) have teamed up with various businesses to launch the “Dengue Heroes Towards Zero Death” campaign, an initiative aimed at curbing the growing threat of dengue fever in Bangkok. The campaign aligns with the World Health Organization’s goal to eradicate dengue-related deaths by 2030 and coincides with ASEAN Dengue Day on June 15.

Flu and dengue put Thais’ health at risk

A key event promoting the campaign recently took place in Din Daeng district, where community members gathered to focus on preventive measures such as maintaining cleanliness and enhancing drainage systems. These efforts are crucial for minimizing the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes, particularly during the rainy season, which provides optimal conditions for mosquito proliferation.
