Suan Luang Rama IX Park, Bangkok

Suan Luang Rama IX Park (สวนหลวง ร. 9) s the largest public park in Bangkok, located in Prawet District.

The park was built with the coperation of BMA to commemorate King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 60th birthday on Saturday 5 December 1987.

Suan Luang Rama 9 Park covers 80 hectares of land, a large portion of which is a lake named “Traphang Kaew”. The most distinctive building of the park is the impressive “Ho Ratchamongkhon”, a gallery showing the biography and the royal projects of H.M. King Bhumibol.

Suan Luang Rama IX Park also has a beautiful botanical garden and grass fields for recreational sports: jogging, aerobic exercise etc, and visitors can rent a variety of paddleboats.

Smoking is banned within the park.
