Krabi public works chief dies in hail of gunfire

A business conflict or jealousy are the suspected motives in the killing on Wednesday night of the chief public works engineer with the Krabi provincial administrative organisation.

Montree Upala, 57, was driving his pickup truck on Thungyai-Lamthap Road in Ban Khuankhiam village in Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Thungyai district when a hail of gunfire struck the vehicle at about 9.40pm.
