A villager was shot dead in Narathiwat’s Chanae district late Monday night, police said.

Somboon Yodkaew, 42, a Buddhist resident of Moo 4 village in Tambon Chang Phuak, was shot dead while cutting wood in a forest about one kilometre away from his home.
