Phuket officials confirm beachfront owned by local hotel

PHUKET, 9 January 2018 (NNT) – Phuket officials have confirmed that a stretch of beach in the province is legally owned by its adjoining hotel after complaints were circulated online about how the establishment was barring access to the coastline.

Facebook user Aziz Yotharak recently posted a video to the social network showing what appears to be a hotel employee expelling several tourists from a beach in Phuket province along with a message asking whether or not hotels can legally lay claim to beaches.
