The Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union has decided to pursue gradual political re-engagement and to resume political contacts at all levels with Thailand in light of encouraging developments in the kingdom.

The council’s conclusions on Thailand which were adopted on Monday reaffirmed the importance the EU attaches to its relations with Thailand.
