Chiang Mai gold shop robber is down on his luck ex US serviceman

CHIANG MAI: — Police in Chiang Mai have made a quick arrest of a man who stole 14 rings from a downtown gold shop.

Initially thought to be an “Arab” it now emerges that the robber who spent just 30 seconds in the O-eh shop in Thanin market is an ex US serviceman.
