PM vows to carry on King’s legacies

BANGKOK, 16 November 2016 (NNT) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed his profound feelings for His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, affirming he will commit himself to carrying on the King’s royal initiatives as best as he can.

Recalling his memories of the late King, Gen Prayut said after having received the opportunity to serve His Majesty both as a soldier and as a prime minister, he had always been moved by His Majesty’s benevolence to the nation. Throughout his life and seven-decade reign, the premier noted that the King had truly devoted all his efforts to his subjects. In this regard, he made a pledge to follow in His Majesty’s footsteps and push forward his royal initiatives to the best of his ability.
