EU satisfied with Thailand’s solutions to IUU Fishing: Govt

BANGKOK, 16 November 2016 (NNT) – The government spokesman disclosed that the European Union (EU) is satisfied with Thailand’s attempt at dealing with the IUU fishing issue, citing improvements in a variety of aspects.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd disclosed that the delegation of European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries (PECH) visited Thailand to follow up on the country’s solutions to the IUU fishing issue, commending Thailand’s efforts including law amendment, adjustments to operations, and an enhanced roles for the officials.
