BMA operations begin to catch water monitor lizards

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) on Tuesday morning started catching water monitor lizards at the downtown Lumpini Park. The reptiles would be sent to Ratchaburi’s Khao Son Wildlife Nursery Station, which has a 1,000-rai natural station and a fertile ecosystem.

Suwanna Jungrungrueng, director-general of the BMA’s Environment Department, led 12 officials in the operation aimed at catching 40 water monitor lizards yesterday.
