NBTC says TV networks no longer required to broadcast dual systems

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) will meet Tuesday to consider lifting its earlier announcement requiring television networks to broadcast their programming on dual frequencies, digital and analog.

NBTC chairman Colonel Natee Sukonrat said the meeting Tuesday would reach a decision to no longer require TV networks to also transmit analog programming alongside digital transmission.
