Most poll respondents worry economy will be hurt due to Bangkok shutdown: Poll

BANGKOK, Jan 5 – More than half of Thais said they worry that the country’s economy will be negatively affected if violence occurs as the anti-government movement plans a major rally “Bangkok Shutdown” to oust the caretaker government on January 13.

The latest survey was conducted by Suan Dusit Poll between Jan 2-4 among nearly 1,200 residents in Bangkok and its adjacent provinces on “What do they think about the ‘Bangkok Shutdown’ by the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC)” which will start from Jan 13 onwards.
