Lampang to organize horseback weddings on Valentine’s Day

BANGKOK, 20 January 2014 (NNT) – Lampang Province is keen on boosting its local economy by organizing horseback weddings for couples from across the country.

According to Lampang Provincial Governor Thanin Supasaen, the province’s Tourism Association is joining hands with the Carriage Association of Lampang in organizing activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day, which falls on February 14th of every year. This year, Lampang Province will see 40 couples tying the notch on horse-drawn carriages. The mass wedding will be held at Central Plaza in Muang District.

The province will also host a tourism exhibition on Feb 13-16, during which visitors can find information related to various tourist attractions in Lampang, such as Chaeson National Park that has recently received the “Thailand Tourism Awards 2013”.
