BANGKOK, Nov 15 – Violence and attacks on community leaders in Thailand’s southern provinces has escalated since last month, the Internal Security Operation Command (ISOC) has reported.

Banpote Poonpian, ISOC spokesman, said victims of the attacks and assaults were mostly village and sub-district leaders who might be involved in political or personal conflicts.
