Bangkok to gain more free WIFI spots

BANGKOK, May 4 – A Bt950 million fund will be allocated to set up an additional 150,000 free public WIFI service spots in Bangkok, according to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

In cooperation with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, free WIFI service at a speed of 2 Mbps will give Internet access at 20 minutes per visit, or about two hours per person/day.
