Two defence volunteers wounded in southern insurgent attack

NARATHIWAT, March 29 – Two defence volunteers were wounded in separate insurgent attacks in Thailand’s restive South on Friday in the aftermath of the first peace dialogue between the Thai government and insurgent groups.

The first incident took place in Pattani’s Panare district when a 42-year-old defence volunteer, identified as Abduloh Pokoh, was shot by a presumed insurgent while riding his motorcycle on his way to perform a religious rite.
