Yingluck unhappy with counter-insurgency plans: Defence Minister

BANGKOK, Aug 15 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is not satisfied with current plans by 17 ministries for resolving the continuing violence in Thailand’s Malaysian border provinces, according to Defence Minister Air Chief Marshal Sukumpol Suwanatat.

The plans will be forwarded to the committee tasked with driving policies and strategies to deal with the southern violence, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Yutthasak Sasiprapa, who supervises security affairs.
