Nakhon Phanom dogs have a new lease of life

NAKHON PHANOM, 4 September 2011 (NNT) – The dogs rescued in Nakhon Phanom while being transported to a neighboring country are under proper care now that donation money has poured in.

A Nakhon Phanom’s Livestock Development official said about 20 million THB had been donated for the dog-helping operation. However, only 863 dogs from nearly 2,000 dogs are still alive. Most of them died from injuries and hunger. Fifty dogs are in a critical condition.

The donation money will be spent on building new enclosures, ventilation systems, food and medication.
