Suvarnabhumi in top five Best Airports with over 40 mn passengers

BANGKOK, 18 February 2011 (NNT) – Suvarnabhumi International Airport has been ranked fifth as the Best Airport among those accommodating more than 40 million passengers per year.

According to Suvarnabhumi Airport Spokeswoman Wilaiwan Natwilai, the Airport Council International (ACI) recently announced its 2010 rankings for best airports in different categories based on its survey of 260,000 travelers worldwide. Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi Airport came fifth in the category of airports with over 40 million passengers per year. Out of 13 contenders in the category, Hong Kong Airport was named the best airport, followed by Beijing, Dubai and Dallas Airports.

In 2009, Suvarnabhumi Airport was ranked sixth in the category of airports with 25-40 million passengers per year.
