Pattaya: Norwegian Man Stabbed Following Drunken Dispute

A Norwegian national has been stabbed by an unknown foreign man on Monday morning. The incident occurred after the pair had become involved in a drunken argument.

Pattaya, the 6th of September 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 1:30am on Monday, Major Kriangkrai Buakla (Pattaya Police Investigator) was notified of a stabbing incident at the Nordic Residence Hotel in Soi Phratamnak 4, Phratamnak Hill. A team of officers along with the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation were dispatched to the scene to investigate.

Arriving at the Nordic Residence Hotel, officers were escorted to the room of Mr. Tony Hoen [40] a Norwegian national, who had been stabbed in a drunken dispute with another foreigner. Mr. Hoen was rendered first aid at the scene, before being rushed to the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital suffering from a stab wound to the stomach.
