‘French’ Drug Smuggling Fugitive Arrested in Pattaya
PATTAYA – A French fugitive of foreign origin, wanted on international drug smuggling charges was arrested in Pattaya on Monday by Thai immigration police. The suspect, identified only as “Bones,” 32, was the subject of an Interpol red notice issued at the request of French authorities.

Pol Maj Gen Songprote Sirisukkha, commander of Immigration Division 3, stated that the French national is believed to be a member of a major drug cartel operating in Paris and surrounding areas. He is accused of involvement in drug smuggling and criminal syndicate activities, offenses that carry a prison sentence of up to 10 years under French law.

According to police, “Bones” entered Thailand through Suvarnabhumi Airport last month and proceeded directly to Pattaya, where he was hiding while preparing to travel to a third country.
