PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN – Police in Prachuap Khiri Khan have arrested a Thai woman and two alleged accomplices for the murder of her German husband, whose body was found preserved in an air-conditioned bedroom nearly a month after his death. The case was reported on December 19 when Khlong Wan Police Station received a call concerning a deceased foreign national at a residence in Huai Sai subdistrict. Officers discovered the body of 65-year-old German national Mr. Mark on a bed inside a bedroom where the air conditioner had been set to a low temperature.
An autopsy performed at the Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine revealed the victim died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries, including skull fractures and wounds to his arms, indicating a violent assault. Following the findings, investigators secured arrest warrants from the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Court.

On December 23, police arrested three suspects: 45-year-old Ms. Nittaya, the victim’s wife; 43-year-old Mr. Thongbai; and 50-year-old Ms. Naowarat. All face charges of jointly committing murder. According to police, Ms. Nittaya had earlier contacted a local village assistant headman, claiming she could not reach her husband since November and reported a foul odor from the house, which led to the discovery.
Investigators uncovered inconsistencies in the suspects’ statements. Evidence suggests Mr. Thongbai allegedly struck Mr. Mark with a metal pipe, inflicting fatal head and facial fractures. Mr. Mark, a medical doctor from Germany, had been married to Ms. Nittaya for three to four years and had purchased several properties in her name, including homes in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
