Police conducted a raid on a hotel in Lat Krabang district, located close to the airport, where the suspects were apprehended. According to investigators, the individuals confessed to acting under instructions from a coordinator in Myanmar. Their alleged task was to receive the drone devices from a transport vehicle and smuggle them across the border for resale in Myanmar. The group reportedly planned to dismantle the drones and transport them as regular luggage on commercial flights.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the detained individuals are linked to the earlier drone sightings reported by residents in Samut Prakan. The investigation remains ongoing, with further details to be released as they become available.
