Bangkok Gripped by Severe PM2.5 Pollution, Health Warnings Issued
BANGKOK – The Air Quality Information Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration announced today that an excessive amount of PM2.5 dust is blanketing the capital, with forty-five out of fifty districts exceeding the safe standard level of 37.5 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³). The air quality is forecast to deteriorate further, posing a significant threat to public health.
Thailand imposes burning ban to curb PM2.5 pollution
The twelve districts most severely affected include Bang Rak, where levels reached 55.3 µg/m³, followed closely by Sathorn and Lat Krabang, both at 54.6 µg/m³. Other areas with critically high pollution include Nong Khaem, Ratchathewi, and Pathumwan, all registering above 51 µg/m³.

In response to the hazardous conditions, authorities have issued urgent health advisories. Residents are strongly advised to wear face masks when outdoors and to minimize time spent on outdoor exercise and other activities.

Vulnerable individuals and those in high-risk groups are urged to wear protective masks every time they leave their homes. The public is encouraged to monitor official air quality updates and take necessary precautions until conditions improve.
