Russian Tourist Assaulted in Pattaya’s Walking Street, Police Seek Assailants

PATTAYA – A Russian tourist was hospitalized with significant head injuries following an unprovoked assault in Pattaya’s popular Walking Street entertainment district during the early hours of November 20th. Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan foundation responded to the scene after receiving reports of an injured foreign national.

The victim, found shirtless and wearing only shorts, was bleeding heavily from a head wound believed to have been caused by a blunt object such as a bottle. Bystanders and a motorcycle taxi rider provided initial assistance before emergency personnel administered first aid and transported him to a nearby medical facility. According to rescue staff, the intoxicated tourist stated he was attacked by a group of Thai men without provocation but could not provide further details.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and plan to review surveillance footage from the area to identify the perpetrators. Authorities emphasized the importance of collecting clear evidence for the case and have advised the victim to file a formal complaint once his condition stabilizes.
