Pattaya City Police and rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation responded to the fight shortly after it erupted outside a restaurant. The victim, identified as 32-year-old Mr. N.L. from the United Kingdom, sustained a deep head laceration, a torn left ear, and multiple bruises. He received emergency first aid before being transported to Bangkok-Jomtien Hospital for further treatment.

According to an eyewitness, the two men—described as close friends—had been drinking heavily at a nearby beer bar before the dispute began. The argument ignited when Mr. N.L. attempted to withdraw money from an ATM unsuccessfully and decided to return to his accommodation. His friend objected, leading to a physical confrontation that spilled into the street.

CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained by police, who are awaiting the victim’s statement once his condition stabilizes. Authorities confirmed they are pursuing assault charges against the suspect, also a foreign national, who remains at large.
