Chinese tourist dies in a jet ski accident off the coast of Koh Larn
PATTAYA — A Chinese tourist died and her husband was rescued after their jet ski capsized in rough seas off Koh Larn island near Pattaya on Monday night. The couple, who had rented the watercraft from Tawaen Beach on September 9, failed to return it by the agreed time, prompting a large-scale overnight search operation.

Pattaya City Police, marine officials, tourist police, and Sawang Boriboon rescue units deployed boats and specialized teams after the jet ski owner reported the couple missing. At approximately 3 a.m. on September 10, rescuers found Mr. Ma Xiaoxiao floating exhausted near Koh Nok, about one nautical mile from Koh Larn. He sustained minor injuries and recounted that strong waves had capsized their jet ski, separating him from his wife.

Later that morning, at around 11:30 a.m., authorities located the missing jet ski and recovered the body of Ms. Yang Chong, who was wearing a life jacket. Her body has been sent for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
