The incident occurred near Gate 2 of the departure area, where driver Mr. Somsak had just picked up passengers and was preparing to exit. According to his account, the van’s accelerator became stuck, causing it to lurch forward uncontrollably. The vehicle first struck the rear of a parked car before slamming into an SUV, which was then pushed into another van.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported despite the significant damage to the involved vehicles. All parties promptly notified their insurance companies and reached a preliminary settlement through on-site mediation.
Airport officials confirmed that operations were not disrupted, though the incident has raised concerns over vehicle maintenance standards for transport services operating in the busy hub. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the mechanical failure.
