A 42-year-old Chinese man, identified as Tongyong Fu, was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi Airport late Saturday while trying to flee Thailand, just hours after the brutal killing of a transgender woman in a Pattaya apartment. The victim, 25-year-old Woranan from Nong Khai, was found dead with her heart and lung missing, sparking a frantic manhunt that ended with Fu’s arrest at immigration.

Pattaya police were called to the scene early Saturday after a housekeeper, alarmed by a violent argument heard hours earlier, discovered the gruesome scene. The victim, a post-operative transgender woman, had been staying in the apartment rented by Fu, who was seen leaving the building before authorities arrived. Investigators found a large plastic bag and scissors inside the unit, deepening suspicions of organ removal.

Witnesses reported a loud, prolonged dispute around 1 a.m., but no one intervened until the morning, when staff forced entry. Fu, now in custody, is being transported back to Pattaya for interrogation with the aid of a translator. Police have yet to determine a motive for the shocking crime.
