Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai in Samut Prakan

Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai (วัดบางพลีใหญ่ใน) is a beautiful Buddhist temple located near Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport in Samut Prakan province.

The temple was built in honor to King Naresuan the Great, who ruled the Kingdom of Siam from 1590 until his death in 1605, and to commemorate the defeat of the Burmese soldiers who invaded Siam during his reign.

Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai is home of Luang Pho To (Venerable Father), a revered image in the gesture of Subduing Mara (Call The Goddess Of The Earth To Witness) made in bronze that stands in the Phra Ubosot building.
