Polish family rescued after getting lost in mountainous forest on Koh Pha-ngan

A Polish family of four, who got lost in the mountainous forest on Pha-ngan Island in Thailand’s southern province of Surat Thani, was found by a Thai search and rescue team Monday night.

A staffer at an unnamed hotel on the popular resort island, known for its “Full Moon Party”, received a distress call at about 5.30pm from one of their guests, Tomasz Andrzej Sliwinski, a Polish national, saying that he, his wife and two children were lost somewhere on the mountain in Tambon Ban.
