73-megawatt Lopburi solar power plant in central Thailand

The 73-megawatt Lopburi solar power plant in central Thailand is the largest solar photovoltaic project in the world. It will be central to Thailand's efforts to generate energy from renewable sources.


LOPBURI, 6 July 2018 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Prachin Chantong presided over the opening ceremony of a biogas power plant at Air Wing 2 in Lopburi.

The event was witnessed by Energy Minister Siri Jiraphongphan, Energy Ministry Inspector General Roya Chantharattana, Deputy Lopburi Provincial Governor Phadungsak Hanpreechasawas and Air Force Commander-in-Chief ACM Jom Rungsawang.
