PM Prayut lauds Miss Thailand for her speech

BANGKOK, 31 January 2017 (NNT) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha praised Chalita Suansanae or “Nong Namtan,” who represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2017 competition, for her admiration for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Gen Prayut showed his support to Nong Namtan, saying although she did not win the contest, she was able to demonstrate the beauty of the Thai culture to the world. He said every Thai should be proud of her for her comment about the late King during the contest. Nong Namtan said she always looked up to King Rama IX who always worked hard for his people.
