BANGKOK, 27 November 2016 (NNT) – Authorities have been scrambling to facilitate the arrival of mourners to the Grand Palace, which reportedly peaked over the weekend.

A report by the Bureau of the Royal Household revealed that more than 45,200 people arrived at the Grand Palace on Saturday (November 26, 2016) to pay their respects to His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall, marking the greatest outpouring of mourners since the bureau allowed public access to the monarch’s royal casket.
