Iconic Taj Mahal to Undergo ‘Mud Therapy’

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of India’s Historical buildings and monuments, is planning to use traditional Indian mud therapy to restore the beauty of the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal, situated in Agra, is one of the most famous tourist destinations in India.

As per the officials of ASI, the mud pack of Fuller’s Earth, locally known as Multani Mitti, will be applied to the top dome to remove the yellowness from the dome’s white marble.
