Yala Buddhists celebrate Tenth Lunar Month Festival

YALA, 17 September 2016 (NNT) – Faithful Buddhists in Yala are celebrating the Tenth Lunar Month Festival making offerings to their deceased ancestors to gain good fortune for themselves.
The celebration of the Tenth Lunar Month Festival at Wat Muang Yala Temple in Yala province today is lively with many Buddhists in the area bringing family members to observe the rites by bringing items of food, fruit, sweets, incense, and candles to offer to their deceased ancestors and to the memory of deceased people with no relatives, according to a belief observed by Buddhists in the southern region of Thailand.
