Rail services to deep south reopen today under tight security protection

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) today reopened the railway services from Bangkok to destinations in the deep south following the bomb sabotage of its rail line in Pattani on September 3 that forced the closure of the southern rail services for eight days.

The first train to leave for the southernmost Sungai Kolok Railway station in Narathiwat province is the local rapid train No 175.
