DSI seizes over 75,000 fake brand name items

BANGKOK, 30 September 2016 (NNT) – The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) reports its special operation authorities have exposed major distributors of fake brand name garments over the past month.

Officials carried out search operations at MBK Center, Platinum Fashion Mall and Bobae Market. More than 75,000 pieces of copied brand name clothes, mostly jeans, sports wear and underwear, were confiscated while four offenders were arrested. The culprits face a jail term of up to four years or a fine of up to 400,000 baht or both.
