Yingluck stands trial for rice scheme amid supporters

Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra appeared in the Supreme Court today for the 10th hearing of state testimonies against her in the rice-pledging scheme which she was charged with dereliction of duties.

She arrived in the compound of the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders before 9 am amid supporters shouting her “happy birthday” and giving her flowers with best wishes that she get through all bad things.
