World’s largest Buddhist lent candle created in Ubon Ratchathani

UBON RATCHATHANI, 13 June 2016 (NNT) – Kudlad subdistrict administrative organization (SAO) is crafting the world’s largest, golden Buddhist lent candle to celebrate the 70th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.

Kudlad SAO Chief Kritrattanachai Thongrueng presided over the candle-molding ceremony, which took place in Ubon Ratchathani province. Once finished, the candle will reportedly be large enough to require three people to encircle it.
