Dr Wanchai Danaitamonut, 60, the suspected gunman who shot dead two of his colleagues yesterday, shot himself at 6.45 pm today after five hours of effort to persuade him to lay down his pistol fails.

A single shot was heard as his close relatives, friends and police failed to persuade him to give up and fight the case in the justice system.
