Three security officers were wounded, one seriously, in separate bomb and grenade attacks in the troubled southern provinces of Pattani and Yala on Friday night and Saturday morning.

In Pattani, a roadside bomb went off in tambon Bang Khao in Nong Chik district as an eight-member police team travelling on a motorcycle and a pickup truck drove past, said Pol Lt Thanet Saengniran, a duty officer at the Nong Chik police station.
