Disease Control Department giving out free condoms to promote safer sex

BANGKOK, 4 February 2016 (NNT) – The Disease Control Department, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund, is encouraging the use of condoms to prevent sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies, after statistics in Thailand have revealed that more than 300 teenagers each day are conceiving babies.

Department of Disease Control Deputy Director General Panumard Yarnwaidsaku, along with representatives from the Department of Health and representatives of the United Nations Population Fund, have planned a campaign to promote condom use over the next several years.
