Rangers, militants clash in Yala

A team of rangers clashed with a group of militants in tambon Bacho in Bannang Sata district in Yala province on Sunday and at least two militants were believed wounded.

The clash occurred at about 8am as the rangers were laying siege to Ubae village on a tip that at least 10 separatist militants would meet at a house to plan violent attacks on targets in Bannang Sata, Krong Pinang and Yaha district during the New Year.
