Merit-making ceremonies held across Thailand to mark HM Queen’s birthday

BANGKOK, 12 August 2015 (NNT) – Members of the public across Thailand have participated in mass alms-making ceremonies in honor of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday anniversary.

In the North, provincial governors in Nongbua Lamphu, Surin and Lamphun led local people in an alms-giving ceremony and a ceremony to release fish back into their natural habitat. The ceremony was also attended by civil servants, police officers and members of the private sector.
