Transfer orders out for seven top police officers in Bangkok

Seven high-ranking police officers in the capital have been slapped with transfer orders in the wake of an online-gambling scandal.

The transfers of Metropolitan Police Division 5 chief Pol Maj-General Chawalit Prasopsin and his deputy Pol Colonel Jak Jittitham went into effect Tuesday. Under the order, both have now been given inactive posts at the Metropolitan Police Bureau.
