Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport gears up MERS prevention measures

BANGKOK, 16 June 2015 (NNT) – Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport will begin implementing measures to prevent the spread of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) to Thailand.

Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has been installing various equipment to screen passengers to identify any infection of MERS through the use of body heat scanners. These scanners will be operated by health officials, designed as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
